Terms and Conditions for Independent Spaces

1. Introduction 

Welcome to Independent Spaces. By accessing and using our Occupational Therapy services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any other relevant laws and regulations. By accessing our services, you are deemed to have agreed to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. Services 

Independent Spaces provides community-based Occupational Therapy services designed to support your health and functional needs. Our services include assessments, intervention planning, and therapeutic interventions, tailored to meet individual client needs.

3. Eligibility 

Our services are available to clients that are both referred by healthcare professionals or self-referred. Clients may be required to provide medical history and other health information to ensure safe and effective treatment.

4. Client Responsibilities 

Clients are expected to:

• Provide accurate and complete health information.
• Participate actively in their treatment plans.
• Respect appointment times and notify us promptly of any cancellations or rescheduling needs.
• Be courteous to our occupational therapists, ensuring that we are able to work safely, collaboratively, and constructively to achieve your treatment outcomes.

5. Fees and Payments 

Details about our fees, including methods of payment and any applicable taxes, will be provided at the time of service enrollment. Fees are due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise arranged.

6. Cancellations and Refunds 

Clients can cancel services with at least 48 hours’ notice. Missed appointments or late cancellations may incur a fee, up to and including the full-service fee. Refunds for prepaid services will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality 

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Information collected will be used solely for the purpose of providing occupational therapy services and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.

8. Intellectual Property 

All materials provided during therapy sessions, including but not limited to, treatment plans and educational materials, are proprietary and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability 

Independent Spaces will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use of our services or the inability to use the services.

10. Changes to Terms 

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will become effective immediately upon posting on our website or providing them to you during your treatment session.

11. Governing Law 

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

12. Right to Refuse or Stop Providing Services The terms and conditions of our company includes the right to refuse services to any individual or entity, without providing a specific reason. This decision may be based on factors such as violation of our terms and conditions, misconduct, unethical behaviour, or other legitimate reasons determined by our company. We reserve the right to exercise this discretion in order to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all parties involved.
